I think any problem that intelligent people are genuinely trying to solve, but fail to do so, is complicated--and usually systemic.

The main point being though that the statement was not bitter. Like I said earlier tactics used to dismiss a woman's opinions: call them bitter.

I think it's similar to where I read about girls complaining how their boyfriends always 'forget' to call them they when they will be out later than expected with the boys, or something to that effect. For some reason the boyfriend can never seem to remember to do that.

I see you are using the dismissive tactic of not reading my post right up above. Speaking out is taking action. Thanks for playing.

I'd like to make a distinction between bitterness and anger. I'm all in favor of anger--"a strong feeling of displeasure and belligerence aroused by a wrong; wrath; ire." As far as I'm concerned, anger exists to forcefully tell us when we ought to change something. Anger is very useful. On an individual level, it's very useful to be honest about your emotions and honor them, regardless of what they are.

However, when it comes to actually bringing about that change, being "resentful or cynical" is seldom productive. In that same struggle, "characterized by intense antagonism or hostility," while sometimes necessary and/or cathartic, is definitely an attitude to express selectively.

I spoke the truth. If you think that means a woman is bitter well...call me not surprised.

Sometimes it takes bitterness to cause an action. But whatever works for you too.

Also, usually when someone wants to dismiss another persons opinion (especially a woman's opinion), you just call them bitter.
