using a mouse is not the same as real life examination, but i guess the idea is to leave the idea of actual touching/examination in their heads? since the website couldnt afford to send a porn actress/model to each visitors house, yet they wanted to raise awareness and interest to the topic somehow. boo for them?

of course women are capable of performing self-exams, and i think or hope we are being educated about it already. however if my boyfriend would like to ‘do an exam’ on me, and meanwhile also enjoy touching me, i certainly wont complain. two exams is better than one, especially if i forget and miss something.

So yeah, its denigrating to women in a general sense, but look at the context; it’s a porn site, specifically the “adult gallery” of “one of the most popular polish websites.” If you don’t put in the breast cancer plug-in, you’re not left with an active dissemination of breast cancer information, you’re left with a porn site (or technically, the porn section of a website).

Now the argument could be made that they shouldn’t have spent the 1300 euro of breast cancer public awareness budget on the pornographic game, but it does make the information reach an audience that wasn’t looking for or expecting to be made aware of how to do breast examinations (ie: people looking at porn), and if it does in fact lead to greater number of visitors to the actual informational website enough to warrant the cost, it is still a good idea from a pragmatic public health standpoint. Even if it is tasteless.

Personally, I’d bet there are a lot more problematic things with respect to feminism/masculinism happening on the adult gallery than magic cancer boobs.
