Ugh god. DO YOU ALL NOT REALIZE THAT YOU ARE ALREADY PAYING FOR HEALTH INSURANCE OUT OF YOUR TAXES?! Newsflash, you are. Get your fucking facts straight, assholes.

Untrue:
Republicans are all rich, spoiled pigs who didn't work for their money.
The poor are all lazy, government-supported pigs who don't work for money.

Enough generalizing, guys. I understand both sides of the argument, which is why there needs to be a middle ground. BUT FIRST THERE SHOULD BE TOLERANCE.

walmart enslaves entire townships by putting mom and pop shops out of business, requiring the employees and owners alike to look for work in one of the only massive, big-box retail outlets within miles of home: WALMART! and on top of that they pay their employees shit for wages.

Sounds republican to me

@Molley - Math and Music? which one is related to your career? and how is it fair that everyone else id footing the bill for the one that is just for your enrichment? I paid for my own education. I didn't stick my hand out expecting everyone else to support me and kids (I waited till I was 30 to have kids so I could support them). My parents were hard-working educated people, so our family wasn't rewarded for our sloth. I took a job and worked through college, so I could pay for it, my rent, insurance etc., again I never would have qualified for assistance because I decided to work. I couldn't have choosen majors like math and music because I had to pay for it myself. I don't feel sorry for you at all.

@derek - Robin Hood lived in an era of a different economic system - feudalism. So as the legend goes, he stole tax money from the rich government and gave back to overtaxed people.

So maybe if there was a Robing Hood today, he would steal money from the likes of Molly and give back to us poor suckers who giver her money.

To robert 10:38 am on October 3, 2009:

It would be nice if you even knew what you are talking about.

>>>your right, most millionaires are not like bill gates, they were never poor, >>>they got it from their rich parents

Don't look now but Gates was never poor. His dad was a wealthy lawyer.

You concept of economics and history are equally flawed.

>>>I would willingly give an extra 10,000 out of my 60,000 per year income >>>for that dream.

Again, don't look now, but in America, if you wish, you can give as much
as you want for whatever you wish. So far no law compels you.

So what is stopping you???????

>The Republican Party is made up largely of Christian right wing people that you THINK would want to help their brethren, give to the poor, and provide for the less fortunate.

What is the percentage of all republicans that are these Christian people you speak of?

>to help their brethren, give to the poor, and provide for the less fortunate. However this is the opposite!

Yes. When someone wants to help someone their first instinct is to have Congress create a ponzi scheme to do it for them.

>you THINK would want to help their brethren, give to the poor, and provide for the less fortunate. However this is the opposite! So strange. For about a dozen reasons, including my Christian religion and values, my upscale socio-economic level

That's interesting. So you want them impose thier religiously-mandated views about individual charity onto the entire country via the force of the Fed Govt?

Since you're a devout Christian, can you let me know where Jesus outsourced his commands regarding charity to the Roman Empire?

I'm not someone who engages in the immature babble of "your side did x." in order to change the subject from an accuation of mmy siding being y.

But if you think that the Democrat Party isn't just as greedy and interwinned with business then you're really fooling yourself.

Who was it that led to the defeat of the TARP bill in the House?

It was Conservative GOP members who unfortunately caved the 2nd time it came to vote

And who wrote the TARP bill? It was the Democrats.

The Republicans have no credibility ... . but neither do the democrats.. who are rapidly sending this country into a monetary blackhole that will threaten the security of everyone on the planet.
