Oh my life.

It kind of makes me laugh, though, that although obviously they have intentionally got “BLOW” in big-o-type, because, haha, BLOW DO YOU SEE?? they have kind of said “it’ll blow” which also, you know, means “it’ll be no good”.

Cecil, the Bon Foods site says “In Singapore, the bright and vibrant Americana décor has made our restaurants the favourite meeting place for young people, including college students and working professionals.”

So it could be that they thought having a caucasian woman made it more “Americana”

As a reply to Reanimated Horse’s comment, I bet they’re trying to tell their female customers that if they eat a BK sandwich, it will steal their brains and turn them into Aryan Blow Up Dolls (TM). Get it, “blow your MIND AWAY”? I never really liked BK anyway, ever since I read about how they treat their employees…and the “Whopper Virgin” commercials.

The promotion might only be currently available on the Singapore site (I can’t find the ad or the sandwich on any of several other national BK sites), but it’s got all the copyright info (CocaCola, BK’s parent company) at the bottom, and it uses the BK ‘aesthetic’, so it’s unlikely to be some rogue effort.

FYI, this seems to be just a promotion from a Singapore franchisee, Bon-Food: http://www.bon-food.com.sg/promotions/promotions.aspx. It’s not advertised or listed on the burgerking.com website. I guess BK is not thrilled at the public reaction in the U.S., but we’ll have to see.

A. Even if this kind of advertising successfully sells burgers to BK’s target audience, when did BK decide that only 14-18-year-old potsmoking heterosexual males are ever going to buy their product and the hell with everyone else?

I honestly can’t stop laughing at this ad. Not because it’s actually funny, but at the horrible absurdity of it. Everything about it is absolutely horrible and repulsive… What the hell were they thinking when they made it?

I’m surprised she doesn’t have mayo dripping down her chin.
