My first thought was, “How would you know you’re getting engaged soon?” I guess some people suspect, or at least hope, it’s going to happen, but it seems to me that you’d have to have to constantly be doing these things just in case you’re about to get engaged but don’t know it.
But then, maybe the point is, if you want to get engaged, you better get a pre-engagement makeover. As Alacia said, “I like the warning ‘Start Early.’ Why don’t they say ‘Start Early or die alone’?”
