I see your point, Lisa, and I&#039;ve seen the film. However, &#039;neutral&#039; is clearly being misdefined if ALL of the pictures convey sweeping changes to the landscape that most people in most cultures, including ours, would find appalling. Even though the pictures are beautiful, they are specifically not placed along side other equally beautiful pictures of equally manufactured landscapes that have a tendency inspire rather than depress. I know Burtynsky has stated that his intent is to avoid any particular political overtone, but I think its the current political culture of the observers that make these works especially compelling.]]></description>
