		<description>The Columbia College photos are interesting in so far as the first Black fraternity (Alpha Phi Alpha) originated in 1906 and the first Black sorority was established in 1908. By 1909 I&#039;m sure other Blacks were petitioning for Chapters on the campuses of various colleges in the East.</description>
