Vagina Hero is (as far as I can tell) a fake video game based on Guitar Hero.
If you follow along with all the pokes and strokes that the game demonstrates for you, you “win.” The prize: The big O.
This is an excellent example of how women’s sexual pleasure has become another thing for men to master, a skill, a sexpertise (if you will).

…I think it’s… an example of the social construction of male-on-female sexuality as mechanical instead of emotional. It perpetuates the notion that men can’t connect emotionally as lovers with women, so they should at least have the technical skills to make them happy. Goes along with those pick-up “systems” that are all about methodology and purport to work on any woman regardless of her intellect, identity, or intimacy needs.

This reminds me of this book that compares women’s genitalia with a car engine (all you need is a manual!) and some of my research (with Emily Kremer and Jessica Brown) on how women’s orgasm is actually rather incidental.
