Why the foreign accent? A western woman woman would sound more stupid?

Some western males have the idea that girls who come from different parts of the world are more likely to accept and be grateful that they can have a the opportunity to be with them. The girl in this ad sounds a little bit, and pathetically enough, grateful even when she's talking about boys going to strip joints.

I'm betting the accent is there to emphasize how unimportant it is that The Girlfriend actually be able to communicate with The Boyfriend. Also, her vaguely Eastern European accent recollects Russian mail-order brides, a thriving internet industry.

It's disgusting in so many ways; I can't write anymore without getting very very angry.

Well being an Asian male, I am quite familiar with the phenomenon of white (or are we using the term Western here) men being attracted to ethnic women based on beliefs of those women being more complacent and submissive. I honestly don't care either way because I have close friends/family members made of white male/Asian female couples. But this really is a huge factor of attraction towards Asian women by Caucasian males.

I like how every comment is as bigoted as the comercial itself. I agree the video is slightly offensive, and plays into so many disgusting stereotypes that the fact that it has been run to be just plain shocking. But how about some more details like: where was it run? When was it run?

I have a hard time believing that it was aired in America... simply because unlike the majority of the "civilized" world America still has an ethical code about advertisements. Especially when it comes to hard liquor. As a white male, I find your aloof attitudes to be as offensive as the commercial itself.

I agree that the idea of a subserviant woman may play into the appeal of our nearly nude foreigner who would "appreciate the chance to be with a Western man"... so what you're telling me is that in Europe and other countries that the men prefer independent women who aren't subserviant in the least and argue with everything? You're telling me that while watching Chelsea play football you want to be interupted and bitched at for enjoying a pint? I'm not saying women should be subserviant. If this is true then explain to me why these women are subserviant? Is it because in America and other Western Nations have a narrow minded and disillusioned sense of the world, or is it because the individuals in charge of the social norms in other countries IE Russia and the Asian nations keep their women subserviant.
