I was reading that book in the restaurant at the hotel I stayed at when I came for my interview at NSC. That’s how I ended up in a discussion with a 50+-year-old former prostitute-turned-waitress.

I have always had feelings like hers, and finally, someone has been brave enough to publish such a piece of writing in a time when everything and everyone seems to be against the idealism she calls for. Thank you Ariel Levy!!!!!!!
