		<description>An instructor that I worked with had her students do an image analysis similar to those described above, but she had them do it in the form of a poster presentation instead of a written essay.  The students had to enlarge the image they were analyzing (they were in a computer classroom), paste it on to their poster, and then include the points of their analysis on the poster.  Many of the students chose to include smaller blown-up portions of their image and place them next to the relevant parts of their analysis.  They then presented their poster analysis in class the day that it was due.  The assignment gave them practice both analyzing an image and creating a poster presentation of the sort they would be required to create to participate in the annual undergraduate research symposium.  The students in the class did some really good work with this assignment, and they enjoyed it as well. </description>
