Girl w/ Pen, founded by Deborah Siegel, publicly and passionately dispels modern myths concerning gender, encouraging other feminist scholars, writers, and thinkers to do the same.

This is a wonderful, extremely valuable post. I've recently had some disturbing experiences with people with various types of progressive or feminist politics who unfortunately seem never to have given a thought to labor unions and their very real importance for many workers in the U.S. and elsewhere. As a writer who's belonged to the National Writers Union (local 1981 of the UAW) since it was founded in 1981, as a college teacher who belongs to the Professional Staff Congress (PSC) of the City University of New York, thank you for this very informative piece.
