I think that most analysts expect markets to be volatile like this for the next year or so.  Probably anything that even hints of good news is going to produce some kind of spike, which will then be cut down by an ensuing sell-off by profit-takers.  Look for the same thing to happen when the government announces a bailout of GM.]]></description>
